Important Dates:
Sign Ups for boys 7th and 8th grade will be Saturday, January 23, 2010, 12pm - 2pm, at the St. Johns Middle School by the trophy case. Mailed forms are due NO LATER THAN January 30, 2010. Late forms will not be excepted.
Try outs will be February 6, 2010, at the St. Johns Middle School for A & B teams. Times: 5:30 p.m. for 7th grade and 7:00 p.m. for 8th grade

Fees:
The price will be $75.00 per child. There is a uniform deposit of $80.00 in check form only (Which will be returned, when the uniform is turned in!) Make all checks payable to SJYAA.
Notes:
1. You must bring your insurance card plan number to sign up.
2. Physicals are not required.
3. Please mail all sign-up forms to the appropriate director.

Volunteers
We are actively looking for volunteer coaches. We can not run this program without volunteers! Please contact the appropriate contact person if you can help, or have any questions. If you cannot help, please do your best to support those that do. PLEASE NO CALLS AFTER 9:00 PM ON THE WEEKENDS AND NO CALLS UNTILL 1:00 PM DURING THE WEEK!

Forms Needed
There are four forms that must be filled out for 5th - 8th grade.
#1 Parent's Code of Ethics (Both parents need to sign)
#2 Permission to Play and Release of Liability
#3 St Johns Basketball Information Form
#4 Tri-County Youth Basketball Association
(The Tri-County form does not have to be filled out for 3rd & 4th graders.)
More Info:
All games played at the Middle School and in other cities, will have a gate fee of around $7.00 per family.
The Tri-County League is a travel league! All teams 5th thru 8th will play in the Tri-County League this season. There will be two divisions (A&B) within the league this year. All teams will travel to many different schools in the Tri-County Area. All home games will be played at St. Johns Middle School.

The 3rd & 4th grade SJYAA Boys Intramural League will be the same as last season. All the games will be played Saturday mornings at St. Johns Middle School.
The 7th & 8th grade boys sign up will be January 23, 2010. Fliers can be picked up in the Middle School Main Office once it has been announced at lunch. Teams will play in the Tri-County League. There will be two divisions (A&B) within the league this year.
Tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade boys will be the following weekend of signups!
SJYAA Teams
We plan to have two to three boy teams in 5th grade, and two to three boy teams in 6th grade.
TRYOUTS FOR A & B TEAMS WILL BE AT THE ST. JOHNS MIDDLE SCHOOL FROM 10:00AM TO 12:00PM FOR 5TH GRADE AND 12:00PM TO 2:00PM FOR THE 6TH GRADE ON OCTOBER 31ST.
3RD AND 4TH GRADE TEAMS WILL BE PICKING ON OCTOBER 31ST AT THE ST. JOHNS MIDDLE SCHOOL AT 12:00PM IN THE AUXILARY GYM.
ALL COACHES NEED TO ATTENED TRYOUTS AND BE THERE TO PICK TEAMS!
We will have eight to ten boy teams in 3rd and 4th grade. These two age groups are combined.
Tri-County League rules, schedules, directions, and standings can be followed in www.laingsburghoops.com (click on Tri-County links.) This is the official web site. All coaches and parents must check this website for updated schedule changes and information, throughout the season.
Refunds will be given for any reason until November 14. There will be a $15 fee charged. This is due to league fees that are already paid when rosters are sent in and completed. This rule will apply for all players in SJYAA basketball.
You will receive your team picture information from your coaches after the season begins.
