Attention Parents:
Sign ups for 2011 girls basketball is now closed. Try-outs have taken place and teams are in the process of being put together.

Important Dates:
October 5th - Sign up at Oakview Elementary 5:30pm - 7pm. You do not need to attend sign up if you choose to download the forms and mail them to the appropriate director. Must be postmarked by October 7, 2011 or you will be charged a $15 late fee.
October 11th - Try-Outs at St. Johns Middle School for the following:
3rd - 6th GRADE - 6pm-7pm (This tryout is for girls interested in playing in the travel league. Third and fourth grade girls interested in playing in the intramural league on Saturday mornings at SJMS do not need to attend tryouts.)
7th AND 8th GRADE - 7pm - 8pm
Sign-Up
Who: Those students entering 1st - 8th grade.
When: Wednesday, October 5, 2011, 5:30 - 7pm. Mailed forms must be post marked by October 7, 2011. After that a $15 late fee will be
assessed.

Fee:
1st-2nd grades - Monday night league - $45 per child 3rd-6th grades - $75 per child (There will be a $60.00 uniform deposit (travel team only)- due at sign up) Please write 2 separate checks.
7th-8th grades - $75 per child (There will be an $80 uniform deposit -due at sign up) Please write 2 separate checks
Try-Outs
There will be try - outs on October 11th at St. Johns Middle School for the following:

Season Information
1st - 2nd grades: Games & practices will be on Mondays starting December 5, 2011, running through February (while the rim will be set at 8 feet, this is not Biddy basketball)
3rd - 6th grades: Practices (one to two per week) will begin the first week of November. Games will be Saturdays and/or Sundays starting December 3, 2011, and running through February 4, 2012. Tournaments will be held the weekends of February 11th or 18th, 2012. There will not be games/practices during Christmas break.
7th - 8th grades: Season will start November 12, 2011, and run through December 11, 2011. Practices will start in October. Teams will play two games per weekend (Saturday & Sunday). There will be one to two practices per week, with a tournament the weekend of December 17, 2011.
Notes:
1. You must bring your insurance card plan number to sign up.
2. Physicals are not required.
3. If choosing to register by mail, please mail all sign-up forms to the appropriate director.

Volunteers:
WE ARE ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER COACHES. We can not run this program without volunteers! We must have numerous coaches if we are to have multiple teams at every age bracket or we will be forced to make cuts. Please contact the appropriate contact person if you can help, or have any questions. If you cannot help, please do your best to support those that do. PLEASE NO CALLS AFTER 9:00 PM.
Forms Needed:
There are four forms that must be filled out for 3rd - 8th grade.
#1 Tri-County Youth Sports Waiver/Release Form
#2 Permission to Play and Release of Liability
#3 St Johns Basketball Information Form
#4 Tri-County Youth Basketball Association
The Tri-County form does not have to be filled out for 3rd & 4th graders, in the Saturday intermural league.
More Info:
All games played at the Middle School and in other cities, will have a gate fee of around $7.00 per family.
The Tri-County League is a travel league! All teams 5th thru 8th will play in the Tri-County League this season. There will be two divisions (A&B) within the league this year. All teams will travel to many different schools in the Tri-County Area. All home games will be played at St. Johns Middle School.

The 3rd and 4th grade SJYAA Girls' Intramural League. They will have all practices and games at the Middle School on Saturdays. The participants will be split into balanced teams and play competitive basketball games with instruction and practice before the games. This league will cost $75.
We will have 3rd and 4th grade girls' Tri-County Trainer League Teams (Travel). This team is for girls that tryout and meets the appropriate skill level. This league will play on Sat/Sun at many different schools in the Tri-County area. This league will cost $75, with a $60 uniform deposit refundable upon turning in of the uniform after the season.
SJYAA Teams
We plan to have multiple girl teams in 5th through 8th Grade. These teams will be divided up A and B based on a tryout conducted by the High School Coaching staff. The teams will then be made up based on the results from these try outs.
We will not be limited in Monday night 1st and 2nd grade girl teams, if we have enough coaches. We plan to have four or more teams. These two age groups are combined.

You will receive your team picture information from your coaches after the season begins.
