SJYAA needs a director to fun flag football this year in order for the program to continue.  All of the prep work has been done, but my schedule no longer allows me to be there.  Please call me at (989) 292-0127 with any questions.

August 17th - Fundraiser  Forms due. (If you turn in your order after this date, you will not be guaranteed to have your order before the first game)

October 8th - Homecoming Parade, 4:30pm

August 10th - Parent Meeting, 6pm, SJ Middle School

Announcement & Football Update

ATTENTION:

The SJYAA Board has an At Large Seat opening.  Anyone interested in wanting to occupy that seat on the board should attend the next board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 8pm or contact one of the board members.

Football

Late equipment pick up is August 9th - August 12th, 5:15 p.m. - 5:35 p.m.  We will stop handing out equipment each night at 5:35 so we can start practice.  If you do not receive your equipment on a particular night you will need to return the following night during that week.

July 27th - EQUIPMENT PICK UP 5:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. at the football barn
August 9th - Practice begins for ALL grades 5:45 - 7:45 p.m.
August 11th - Parents meeting at practice field 6:00 - 6:20 p.m.
August 21st - Volunteer Day - More to Come
August 25th - Team pictures - Wear "Game Uniforms"
September 2nd - Schedules Available - Not before 
September 11th - Games begin

Cheerleading

Important Dates:

August 25th - Team pictures - Wear Uniform

Flag Football

Who? - Any 2nd grader or 3rd Graders interested in playing flag football.

When? - Sign up date for Flag-Football is Wednesday, Sept. 8th from 7pm - 8pm.

Where? - At the Junior Redwing Building on the south side of the High School.

Fees - Cost will be $25.00, all checks to be made out to SJYAA.

Game Times and Practice Times - Games and practices will be at 7:30 am Saturday mornings (estimated time is 1 hour) and 6:30 pm Wednesday evenings (estimated time 1 1/2 hours). The first game will be on Saturday, September 11th at 7:30 am.

Season Duration - The season will run 4-5 weeks (based solely on the weather).

Cheerleading Update

Important Dates:

August 9th - Practice Begins (all squads) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 5:45pm - 7:00 pm, SJ Middle School Auditeria.  Attire should be shorts, T-shirt or tank top, tennis shoes (NO FLIP FLOPS)

August 10th - Parent Meeting.  6pm, SJ Middle School Auditeria

August 19th - Uniform handout & Fundraiser forms due!
