Volunteers
Volunteer coaches are needed to enable Junior Redwings Volleyball to exist. We are in need of volunteers for coaching and encourage everyone to volunteer their time, if at all possible. If you cannot help, please do your best to support those that do. We have a good time teaching and helping the kids learn. Volunteer coaches will be notified of their practice time as the season approaches.
Season Information
NO TRY-OUTS! ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PLACED ON TEAMS! The purpose of the Skills Clinic is to provide opportunities to practice and play volleyball with correct skill development. Competition consists of modified games, commonly called “wash”, which will be explained to the athletes. Practices will cover transition movement from offense, to free ball position to defense. The goal of the program is to teach players NOT to simply bump the ball back over the net. Learning strategy is more important than just getting rid of the ball.
